GOLDEN BOOT MEDIA PTY LTD is a dynamic start-up in Australia’s digital media landscape aiming to disrupt with its first project, which will focus on football (soccer) and be announced shortly, to be launched later in 2025. Golden Boot Media has been founded by David Weiner and Antony Pinshaw to provide a platform for passionate, talented and multi-skilled digital storytellers, who want to take the next step in their careers and are up for the challenge of building a new brand with world class best practice and a desire to innovate and inspire. All employees would be expected to have a passion for producing multimedia, digital football content and would require a deep knowledge of the sport, both domestically and globally.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Multimedia Content Lead to take charge of our visual storytelling and content innovation across platforms. You’ll shape the creative vision for how our stories are told, leading the development and delivery of standout digital content—from scroll-stopping short form to feature-length video, photo essays, podcasts and more.
This role requires a strong editorial instinct, high-level creative production skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate across a small but talented editorial team. You’ll be a key architect of how Golden Boot Media comes to life in the digital world.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the ideation, planning, execution and distribution of original content formats and storytelling across mediums such as short-form video, long-form features, podcasts, photojournalism, graphics and innovative digital series.
Responsible for planning for key football tentpole moments—such as the FIFA World Cup, Asian Cups, Youth World Cups, Olympics, domestic finals, and transfer windows.
Work with the Managing Editor and Social Media & Video Editor to maintain consistency, alignment and prioritisation across all digital and social platforms.
Lead production workflows.
Coach and mentor junior creators.
Collaborate with the editorial and commercial teams on content strategy, branded opportunities and audience engagement.
About You
You’re a hands-on, multimedia creative with a passion for football, a sharp editorial mind and a visual style that stands out. You know how to make great content across multiple formats and platforms—and you’re excited by the chance to help build something from scratch.
You’ve likely worked as a producer, videographer or multimedia lead in a newsroom or sports media setting and are looking for your next exciting challenge.
Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience producing multimedia content in a newsroom, digital publisher or sports media environment.
High-level proficiency in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent), graphic design/Photoshop, and the ability to film/shoot video content independently or as part of a crew.
Deep understanding of social media production and strategy—especially for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging platforms.
Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple formats and timelines.
Strong editorial judgment and knowledge of football, globally and locally, on and off the park.
Experience working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines and evolving creative briefs.
